Camping once, twice....three times

We started off the camping season with a trip to Fairview to stay at Brad and Tahsha's cabin along with Dane, Jessica and our three kiddos. Unfortunately it rained pretty much the entire weekend so we entertained ourselves by playing nerts, phase ten, connect four... The one time we decided to chance it and take a little wheeler ride, turned out to be a mad dash back to the cabin. We had been out maybe 10 minutes and were almost back to the cabin when the rains came down and the hail dropped.

The boys of course just had to sit at the back deck and look for pot guts to shoot at. Dane decided he would be the spotter. I don't blame you Dane, I don't blame you! Thanks guys for such a fun and entertaining weekend!

Next Toby and I went to Willow Creek, my families cabin. My Mom, Dad, and little sister Jerica stayed overnight. We had fun, playing in the rocks, going for walks, drawing with sidewalk chalk, playing badminton, and going down the zip line. I love camping here. I love the feel and atmosphere. I swear whenever I come here, every care in the world gets left at home. That's a good feeling.

This last weekend over the 4th we had TJ's family reunion up at the Knight family cabin. I love family reunions and I love going to this cabin. The cabin was bulit in 1932, it is so old and so rustic. It has no plumbing (which means an outhouse) no electricity, and wood burning stoves. TJ and I went for a 4 mile hike in search of some elk and deer sheds. I wanted soooo bad to find one for him. I looked and looked and looked..... Of course no luck! I always tell TJ that I am his bad luck. I was teasing TJ that when he went out the next day, he would find at least 5... TJ and Brad went out hiking and they didn't find 5, they found 11!!! I think TJ is now coming out of denial and agrees that I am NOT his good luck charm!
