Our sweet little baby girl joined our family at 1:15 am on

She weighed 8 lbs 3 oz 19"
When Scout was born, she had fluid in her lungs and wasn't breathing as well as they would have liked. They took her into the nicu and put her on a cpap machine to help force her lungs open. After being in the nicu for 2 hours, TJ and Scout were able to head to the nursery for her checkup and bath there. Poor little girl got poked so many times. She has a nice bruise that covers the whole top of her hand from where they attempted to put an IV in her. It was a long night, we were able to finally be alone and get to bed at 5 that morning, only to have our day start again at 6 when the nurses started coming.
My Mom and Dad brought Toby in to come meet her new sister. Toby KNEW the whole time that she was going to have a sister. Whenever someone would say to her well, what if your mom has a brother? She would say, nope, not yet. That is just my sister in there.
When Toby came into the room we asked her who is this? She said that is my sister Scout! Smart girl! She Knew!
Toby ADORES her new baby. She always walks by and gives her a kiss on top of her head. She loves to drag a chair over by Scout and "Watch her" often we find her just sitting next to her rubbing the top of her head.
I love my family, I love my 2 girls, I couldn't imagine my life any other way!

WOW! What a cutie! We can't wait to see you guys. Let us know next time you are in town, or when you are ready for visitors because we are dying to meet Scout! Glad it all went fairly well. P.S. I (and Alex) would LOVE to babysit Toby anytime you want some you and Scout time. Seriously, we will even come get her.

Congratulations! She is beautiful! I love how Toby just knew she was getting a sister. Allie was the same way (before we found out) with her sister.

Oh she is just as beautiful as I knew she would be!!! We are so so sooooo excited for you guys!!! I can't wait to meet her next time we come....I must admit that was fun to be on the edge of my seat wondering if if would be a boy or girl....good move it made it fun for me that you didn't find out!! I love the pictures of toby holding her...I bet that just melts your heart!
